Question 3- I only get one chance so please be correct A cell of a diploid organism (2N = 38) is dividing through meiosis. How many chromosomes are in each cell during interkinesis (Hint- interkinesis is the time between meiosis I and meiosis II)? Enter your answer as a whole integer, without a decimal point, and please do not write out the number (e.g. enter "2", not "2.0", not "two"). Your Answer: Answer Question 4 (1 point) If an organism has 96 chromosomes (48 pairs) in each cell, and the organism reproduces sexually, a zygote would contain how many chromosomes? Please enter as a whole number without decimal points (e.g. "8" not "eight" or 8.0). Question 5 (1 point) Cells that contain two sets of genetic information are called and have the notation "2n".

3. 2N= 38; it means that the cell is in diploid conditions. Interkinesis is a phase after meosis I. Here the two daughter cell produced from the mother cell become ready to get into the meosis II. In Interkinesis there is no DNA replication hence chromosome number become the same. Meosis is the process in which chromosome number in parents will be half and equality distributed in two daughter cell after meosis I. So 2N= 38 then N= 19. So we can say there will be 19 chromosome on each of the cell after meosis I. Hence the answer is --- 19. 4. The animal is 2N= 96 Hence N= 48 it means the sperm will h ... See the full answer
